FREE ZOOM COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS

A free weekly Zoom conversation for artists and art workers at every stage of their career.

Every Tuesday at 11am PST we gather to talk honestly about what it means to make work in the world today. What you're making. What's hard. What's working. What the art world looks like from where you're standing right now.

Topics shift week to week based on what the community brings. We've talked about money, confidence, galleries, social media, open calls, studio practice, burnout, community building, alternative exhibition spaces, pricing, grants, and everything in between. No topic is off limits if it matters to artists.

This is not a lecture or a class. It's a conversation. You can share as much or as little as you want. You can come just to listen. You can drop in when you have time and skip it when you don't.

Art and Cake has been supporting the LA art world since 2016 through honest, independent coverage of contemporary art and a deep belief in community over competition. The Tuesday Community Conversations are the living extension of that mission. A space where artists and art workers can find each other, share resources and ideas, and feel a little less alone in the work.

Free. No membership required. Register once and you're set for every session going forward. Add it to your Google Calendar and it will be there every week automatically.

All are welcome. Artists, curators, writers, educators, gallerists, collectors, students, and anyone who cares about art and the people who make it.

Sessions are recorded. Links are shared in the meeting.
